What happens when you create a QR code

The text, link or other content you enter, and any logo you upload, is sent to our server so it can draw the QR code. It is processed in memory and returned to you. We do not save it to disk or a database, and we do not write it to our logs. Uploaded logos are checked and resized in memory and discarded.

What we do keep

Advertising

We show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and may use them to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, opt out at aboutads.info, and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not send the content of your QR codes to advertisers.

Other third parties

We use Cloudflare to deliver and protect the site, so traffic passes through its network and is subject to its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data.

Camera

The optional "Test scan" feature asks for camera permission only after you click it. Video is processed in your browser and is not uploaded.

Static codes and your content

The codes we generate are static: the content is encoded in the image itself. Anyone who has the image can read that content, so do not encode secrets.

Your choices

You can clear cookies in your browser at any time. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
